10 Most Ridiculous Video Game Weapons
8. The Groovitron - Ratchet & Clank (2016)
The Ratchet and Clank series is no stranger to odd weapons, letting the player turn enemies into sheep, blast them to pieces with bomb gloves and best of all making them dance uncontrollably until you decide to destroy them with whatever other heinous device you've got tucked away.
The Groovitron is a weapon that first made an appearance in Tools of Destruction and has popped up in numerous other titles across the timeline, however the best use of this has to be in the strange reboot but also film tie in that was Ratchet and Clank 2016.
I say this because the visuals are absolutely stunning, and each enemy has been given a unique dance animation, meaning that it's a joy to discover what moves they're going to pull out when that disco ball starts to rise. It's even better when you use it on the bosses and watch these once-imposing figures cut a rug before you bag them up in one.
A nice little side note is that all of the songs the Groovitron plays are beat-matched so the characters will always be able to keep time. A simple touch, but one that makes this so much better.
