10 Most Satisfying Video Game Enemies To Kill

9. Genome Soldiers - Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid may be one the greatest stealth video games ever made, but its enemy AI is only effective within an extremely narrow window.

Quite literally, the Genome Soldiers you encounter throughout the game can be easily circumvented by staying clear of their cone-shaped field-of-vision, and then either sneaking around them or, more gratifyingly, straight-up murdering them.

You can use any weapon at your disposal to kill the clone soldiers of course, but in the spirit of the game's stealth mechanics it's generally best advised to approach from behind and snap their necks.

Press the square button behind a soldier and you'll initiate a grab, and by repeatedly pressing square you'll tighten your grip around the soldier's neck enough to eventually snap it.

Both the sound of the soldier struggling and the resulting neck-snapping noise are sickeningly satisfying, honestly, such that you could easily spend hours just running around the opening Heliport area of the game and murderising everyone in the vicinity.
