10 Most Underrated Batman Video Games You've Never Played

6. Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker

It's a shame that so many Batman games were movie tie-ins. Sure, while more than you'd think were actually pretty good, the comics and even the many cartoon shows starring the Caped Crusader were just as ripe for adaptation, and it sucks that we only got one Batman Beyond game.

But fortunately for fans, the PS1 release of Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker does the sci-fi world of the cartoon justice, giving fans a futuristic Dark Knight tale that plays unlike any other Batman game out there.

Putting a heavy emphasis on the fantastical gadgets and weaponry bestowed to new Batman Terry McGinnis by an elderly Bruce Wayne, the combat in this beat-em-up proved to be much more difficult than you might first expect.

So forget about Dark Souls, because Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker was one of the most difficult games you could play when you were growing up, as every encounter forced you to switch between your wide arsenal on the fly in order to take down the title's toughest enemies.
