10 Most Underrated Video Games Of 2015

1. Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition (PC, PS4, XBO)

With RPGs being all the rage these days, you'd think that the gaming community would pay a ton of attention to a legendary PC RPG that only recently made its debut on home consoles. But launching at any time within a two-week blast radius of Fallout 4 probably isn't conducive to getting yourself noticed, and Divinity almost certainly suffered from making this mistake. This rich, rewarding RPG sees players control a pair of 'Source Hunters', who are attempting to rid the world of a dangerous magic that threatens the land. The gameplay will be familiar to those who played Dragon Age: Origins; it's a rich tactical system that makes The Witcher 3's combat look hack-n-slashy by comparison. The Enhanced Edition has adapted the game to be played with a gamepad, and has beefed up the textures and resolutions to take advantage of current-gen console power. Despite its throwback top-down perspective, Divinity is a forward-thinking game, approaching classic RPG traits like levelling-up and moral choices with a confidence that puts its more recognisable rivals to shame. Your choices have a discernible impact on the world, and you're given a tremendous amount of freedom over how you tackle the game; whether you go straight for the main quest or go off and explore the vast world of Rivellon is entirely up to you. Best of all, Divinity can be played through with a friend in co-op mode, implemented brilliantly by shifting dynamically between split-screen and single-screen. Whether played alone or with a friend, this is one of the most engaging, immersive RPGs of recent years, and yet has been grossly overlooked on the console scene. For Shame!
