If there is one thing that Sunless Sea was put on this Earth to do, it's to provide scenarios that you would literally never be able to find in any other game. Sorting a civil war between talking rodents and being tortured by the God of salt are only some of the moderately strange events that you can experience in a playthrough.

With these unusual experiences, naturally, come unusual deaths. Some of these are things you can't predict for a minute, as the world of the Unterzee is a reality far removed from our own. Every single chef, officer, and general crew member is devoured by you - and this gives you exactly the kind of wounds you would expect that fighting and devouring several people (and possibly a squid man) would give you.
