So I ask you, what could possibly be worse than a weapon that is quite literally described as the "worst machine-gun issued to any army at any time in history" in its own in-game item description?

Nothing, that's what.

Say hello to The Chauchat, a weapon that deals absolutely no damage as it cannot be fired by the player character rendering it quite utterly useless as a weapon.

This Light Machine-Gun appears in Fallout Tactics as a joke weapon in reference to the real-life weapon that was issued to soldiers in WW1 and was renowned as one of the worst weapons to ever be issued to soldiers as it would regularly jam when fired. The gun even has little value in the games and therefore is little more than an easter egg within the game rather than an actual usable weapon.

Simply put, there is no more useless weapon in the entire Fallout series.
