10 New Details We Just Learned About AEW Fight Forever
1. Microtransactions
Microtransactions are as much a part of video games today as Terry Funk is to not retiring - they were always going to slither into AEW Fight Forever.
The use of microtransactions in other sport-oriented video games, such as 2K's WWE and NBA franchises, has been met with the sort of scorn and mockery you'd expect, but they're never going away. Their existence in the NBA 2K series, specifically, is more of an infatuation with money on 2K's part, being described by Video Games Chronicle as "spoiling an otherwise great game", being a primary feature. You're posed with the option of using VC to purchase MyTEAM cards from the minute you load into the game!
In AEW Fight Forever, microtransactions exist under the moniker of AEW Cash, the E-Shopper achievement confirming they can be used to make in-game purchases. What, exactly, players can procure isn't yet known, though the likelihood is they'll be able to obtain additional Create A Wrestler accessories or perhaps further roster members, as is the case with WWE 2K's legends roster. Including playable versions of Taz and Excalibur could make the existence of Fight Forever's microtransactions marginally okayed.
But don't overdo it.
