10 New Game Plus Modes That Changed EVERYTHING

9. The Game With Sound - The Quiet Man

When The Quiet Man initially came out, it was a source of quite a lot of controversy. Not only was it flawed on some of its technical aspects, but the element that had sold the game to many - namely, that you played a deaf person - wasn't carried out as expected.

Because, while you are deaf, the plot takes place with no subtitles, or even faces animated enough that when they speak you could try and lipread.

This meant that, for the most part, the actual events that place during the plot were a bit of mystery, left for you to decipher while punching your seven-hundredth bad guy. Even if you know sign language, there's no crucial dialogue put across with this - which is kind of insane.

Seemingly aware of the backlash they were developing, a patch was released, that made it so when you finished the game for the first time, you could replay it with both dialogue and ambient sound audible.

Only, it seems likely that very few people were willing to make a three hour sacrifice just to play the game again in an understandable form.
