10 New Game Plus Modes That Changed EVERYTHING

5. You Remember Everything - Shadow Of Destiny

Shadow of Destiny is an especially meta game, playing with timelines and endings way before this was a popular thing to do.

The initial version of the game you get has five endings. After getting all of these endings, a further route in unlocked for you, in the form of the mysteriously titled EX endings.

An EX playthrough totally changes the entire game, as it has the protagonist remember the events of the previous playthroughs. He reacts much like the player would - by trying to elaborately use his time travel powers in order to prevent the events of the game from actually happening.

Which leads to two simply amazing - if super weird - endings. You either take cure Helena - whose death motivated the timeline shenanigans that get us into all this mess - and subsequently cease to exist, or you destroy the Hommunculus who has been bringing you back to life, also making you cease to exist.

Confusingly, either way you're treated to a cutscene of our hero Eike years in the future, completely unaware of the events his former self went through to get him here.
