10 NPCs That Broke Video Games

1. Random Thugs - Yakuza 0

The random encounters in Yakuza 0 can be pretty funny but also incredibly annoying. Since any NPC in the game can potentially challenge you to a fight, you can't really explore the city or do side quests without some random Tokyo citizen wanting to beat your ass.

However, if, by some streak of madness, you thought the constant random encounters were bearable, don't worry. There is a special item that can turn those pesky NPCs into a legion of nearly invincible super soldiers.

Called the Charismatic Autobiography, the item increases the rate at which the enemies attack you and also buffs them to the point where they can completely ruin your game. Every thug in Tokyo becomes an overpowered god, and you can't walk a couple of blocks without having your ass served to you on a silver platter.

The game is pretty unplayable while NPCs are under the influence of the Charismatic Autobiography. They're so strong that you have to wonder if perhaps the developers didn't mess something up while designing the item.

Seriously, who thought this was a good idea?!
