10 Obvious Features We Can't Believe All Games DON'T HAVE

1. Quit To Desktop

And finally one for the PC players here. Why are so many developers hell-bent on denying players the ability to just... quit straight to the desktop from a game's pause menu?

The ability to quickly exit the game and resume using your PC for something else is about as basic as features get, and yet a huge number of titles will first force you to exit to the game's main menu before actually closing it down.

A cynical mind might suggest that developers do this to try and persuade players to keep playing - a tacky trick in the pursuit of "engagement" if there ever was one.

And even though you can usually hit Alt + F4 to immediately close games down, some games have even cheekily resorted to blocking that shortcut during play.

Simply, if the player decides their time with a game is over, the game should respect that and let them shut it off immediately.
