10 Obvious Features We Can't Believe All Games DON'T HAVE

9. Audio Track Volume Adjustment

Audio is basically 50% of the experience of playing a game, and so it makes sense to give players granular control of the sound mix, allowing them to adjust the volume levels for music, sound effects, and dialogue, as well as the overall global mix.

Given that we're all playing video games on wildly different sound setups, and it's simply impossible for developers to mix sound perfectly for all situations, it feels like a basic quality-of-life feature to let players tweak the sound mix to their own preferences.

And yet, even games as technically sophisticated as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom have no sound mixing settings of any kind, which seems ludicrous in an era where you no longer need to break the bank to have an impressive home sound setup.

We've all got different preferences for how a game should balance its various aural elements, and every game should feature sliders to fine-tune these levels.
