10 Obvious Video Game Traps You Definitely Fell For
6. The Tyr's Temple - God Of War (2018)
The most annoying thing about getting hurt (or killed) by any of the traps in Tyr's Temple is that they could not be more obviously traps.
The large spiked walls and rotating wheels of blades may as well have the word scrawled on them in thick red sharpie, and yet you still often find yourself getting caught in them.
This is because these impediments are largely a matter of timing, requiring precision throws of your axe and some not inconsiderable sprinting abilities. While it's always in theory a simple matter, you can quickly find you estimated the time you had wrong, which usually leads to your painful demise.
After all of this, the final, slightly more challenging obstacle in Tyr's Temple may give you a hard time simply because of how likely you are to panic. Partially because Kratos is slowly pulled closer to drowning with each second you don't solve it, but also because you probably though you were passed all of the puzzles you had to do by now.
Sometimes the worst kind of puzzle is the easy one, because you feel all the denser for having fallen for it.
