10 Obvious Video Game Traps You Definitely Fell For

3. The Poison Powder - Papers, Please

Papers, Please is a game about being a passport inspector. It's also a game about assassination, political espionage, and societal corruption.

However, exactly how much it's about these things is up to you. You can opt out of helping with any shenanigans involving rebels or shootings, and live the humble (but terribly paid) life of a border guard.

Doing so does mean you'd miss out on the more interesting endings though - and a whole extra selection of ways you can die. Of these, the most hilarious can be found when you try and aid the members of the mysterious cult-like EZIC Order.

Help them out, and on day 20 you are given the opportunity to poison an assassin who is coming into kill EZIC agents. Said poison is provided to you in a little pouch, which, when opened, helpfully reads 'DO NOT TOUCH POWDER'.

Despite this very clear warning, your natural inclination the first time this is revealed is to touch the powder - upon which, you die. However it's still one of the unique endings, so you still sort of win, even when you die.
