10 Obvious Video Game Traps You Definitely Fell For

2. "Do Not Do This" - Sunless Sea

Sunless Sea is not a game that holds your hand. If you want to run out of fuel for you ship and go mad, it'll let you do just that. Run out of food? It'll give you the choice of eating your crew, and that's about as nice as it gets with you.

This in mind, any time the game gives you an option which is also marked "Do Not Do This", it's probably worth taking the advice. As it is more than content to let you make terrible choices, anything marked with this warning is either incredibly bad for you, or potentially game ending, depending on how unlucky you are.

Hilariously, this has led to plenty of players accidentally killing their current captain, which results in the game restarting anew. If there's one positive that can come out of that, it's that it shows for once and for all that even when you're explicitly told in a game what not to do, you still can't help but do it anyways. As it turns out, curiosity killed more than just the cat.
