10 Of E3's Worst Video Game Showcases Yet

8. Call Of Duty - Every Single Year

Another year, another Call of Duty. Nothing will rub this into your face harder than the time dedicated to the new Call of Duty gameplay trailer, every E3, every year.

Activision would be remiss to not show off their headlining franchise, of course. Activision hoste their own conference for years, but even that didn't stop Call of Duty from leaking over to a dedicated live spot on Microsoft's presser as far back as 2007.

Up until E3 2015, when it suddenly showed on Sony's yearly stage, which couldn't be more transparent that Activision's playing "follow the leader".

It wouldn't be so bad if the gameplay footage wasn't so similar every year. Starting off slow, leading into killing a few Space Nazis or whatever it is this year, then skipping ahead "in the interest of time" to a setpiece of a grand explosion or a bridge falling apart. Then the designers try to spin what you just saw as revolutionary and blab on about some inane graphics tech, like how the fish swim.

In the interest of time, can we just go this year without seeing Call of Duty?

Fan of professional wrestling and fighting game enthusiast. While he insists Street Fighter V isn't as bad as you think, he will agree that it's kinda crap anyways.
