10 Of E3's Worst Video Game Showcases Yet

6. Konami's Bizarre 2010 Conference, 2010

In 2010, Konami's press conference... went beyond description.

It started innocently enough. The president spoke about the future of Konami, an odd Def Jam rap-karaoke game was unveiled... and then the wrestlers appeared.

La Parka, El Elegido, and Silver King all appeared on stage, representing Lucha Libre AAA and their new game, published by hispanic culture focused Slang. They would host an actual heavyweight title match on the conference floor to decide the cover star, as they started slapping eachother's chests, and finished by physically dragging the presenter off stage.

It got more bizarre from there. NeverDead, a shooter where your limbs can fall apart and re-attach, scored by Megadeth, was announced with a silly falling head trenchcoat gag.

Tak Fuji, lead producer of hack and slash Ninety-Nine Nights 2, whispered that it was an "extreeeeme" hack and slash with "one million troops", where if you mash XXX, YYY, XX, X, and YYYY, you "will be sucked".

Awkward dead air, mistimed trailers, and incredibly weird presentations turned Konami's E3 2010 presentation into something more memorable than the games themselves.

Fan of professional wrestling and fighting game enthusiast. While he insists Street Fighter V isn't as bad as you think, he will agree that it's kinda crap anyways.
