10 One-Off Video Game Levels That Totally Change Everything

4. Hero Assault - Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005)

The release of the rebooted Star Wars Battlefront series sure was beneficial... in that it reminded us of just how excellent the originals were and compelled us to go and play them instead.

One of the main pulls of Battlefront's 2005 sequel was the ability to play as characters from the Star Wars movies, including Jedi, bounty hunters and Sith Lords.

Occasionally during a fight, the player would be given the option to respawn as a unique character relevant to the arena - i.e. Darth Maul for Naboo, Chewbacca for Kashyyyk, Yoda for Dagobah, and so on.

But in Hero Assault mode, a deathmatch exclusive to the Mos Eisley map, the heroes and villains are free to have it out in huge, lightsaber-toting brawls, the likes of which the rest of the game doesn't even come close to.

With the option to choose either side, you're free to play as everyone from Luke Skywalker to Jango Fett to even the Emperor himself. While the whole game is a blast from start to finish, this level is absolutely the cream of the crop, and probably the first place you went after the debacle that was the new Star Wars Battlefront II's launch.
