Much like camping, sniping is extremely annoying because it's difficult to fight against and almost always comes right out of nowhere. In games like Battlefield 3, for instance, a sniper can be sitting
literally miles away and still hit you with a bullet, while you're running around completely unaware that your skull is about to be exploded into a bloody mist. The randomness, the lack of warning is totally irritating, and though Killcams are far more common in FPS games nowadays, it's not difficult for a skilled sniper to change positions and keep firing. Though playing a sniper can be thrilling and fun, isn't it, like camping, just a little boring? The downtime drains any fun out of it; while the other players are riding jeeps and flying planes, you're lying prone, counting sheep, and waiting for someone to venture into your crosshairs.
