With Ubisoft's insistence that a new game be put out every year, the eighth entry in the franchise ran into trouble. Following a rocky launch riddled with frightening facial bugs, Unity has managed to achieve a somewhat higher recognition among the fanbase.

Much like previous entries in the franchise, it's all about exploring a historical setting, completing missions and partaking in various side objectives. Despite the size of its open worlds, the franchise has never been known for impactful boss fights. For the first entry on eighth generation consoles, Ubisoft added in something extra. It took a couple of years for the mystery to be solved.

Across the map, there are five unassuming cakes waiting to be devoured. After doing so, you'll need to head to Luxembourg Garden. A giant cake awaits with an aristocrat standing on top; attempting to eat this giant dessert will trigger a fight with the foe, who possesses far more health than regular enemies.

In a game so committed to representing a realistic vision of revolutionary Paris, the cake boss stands out as a real oddity. Winning the battle gets you a healthy amount of money, a hidden achievement and some fireworks for your time.
