10 Other Fighting Games That Should Feature Wrestlers In Their Rosters

5. Tekken

The King Of Fighters 98
Namco

Namco returns to the list with their seminal work in the fighting game genre, the King of the Iron Fist Tournament, Tekken. The company is not scared in the slightest of hosting a few guests, putting their best against Capcom's best in the historic Street Fighter x Tekken. Wrestling has also cast its specter over the game, with King being a much more than subtle nod to NJPW's legendary Tiger Mask character.

Right now NJPW and Namco have an active partnership, with the companies teaming up for special merchandise like the Heihachi edition of the Bullet Club shirt, or that epic photo shoot where Tetsuya Naito posed with Soul Edge. Even in Tekken's most recent release, King appears to have raided Okada's wardobe, taking his shorts and the robe. Maybe that's why Okada wore pants for so long.

With all these winks and nods, Namco needs to stop the teasing and import NJPW's four pillars into their roster. Each one of them, be it Naito, Okada, Jay White, or Ibushi, would make formidable opponents in the Iron Fist Tournament. They would all seem so much more natural and at home than they were in their last 3D video game apperance in Sega's Yakuza series.
