10 Outrageous Hidden Moments In Video Games

4. Cronos' Corpse In The Modern Day - God Of War (2005)

The God of War franchise has done a fantastic job of immersing fans in its rich, visually stunning world, and though it might be a little dated today, the 2005 original still mostly holds up.

Yet, developers Santa Monica Studio also decided to violently rip players out of its Greek mythological setting - well, those who dared to beat the game on its most difficult setting, God Mode, anyway.

Doing so will unlock a secret, minute-long video, detailing the death of the Titan Cronos, who lived for a further 1,000 years after the events of the first game.

His remains, with Pandora's Temple still bound to his skeleton, are eventually discovered by modern civilisations, as a convoy of helicopters and jeeps descends upon the temple.

The narrator implies that the explorers will enter Pandora's Temple and open Pandora's Box, causing all hell to break loose.

Though later events in the franchise of course render this video non-canon - namely the death of Cronos in God of War III - it's still utterly bizarre to see helicopters and modern day vehicles in a God of War game.
