10 Outrageous Video Game Adverts That Caused Major Controversy

4. PSVita - "Touch Both Sides. Twice The Sensations"

PSVita Ad Trust the French to come up with a sexually suggestive advert to promote the PSVita, though to be fair, this one is also pretty clever and artistic in its construction. The French ad featured a woman with four breasts - two on each side of her body - complete with a tagline that says, "Touch both sides. Twice the sensations", which caused outrage to spread like wildfire on social networking platforms like Twitter. What shocked most was that Sony UK actually commented on what Sony France were getting up to, stating "this advert is not creative that we are or would consider running in the UK." The campaign was widely criticised outside of France, though frankly this seems to be one that's down to cultural differences more than anything; as we all know, the French are more famously comfortable with suggestive themes and sexuality than the more buttoned-down sensibilities of the Brits and Americans, so it's natural that we'd have more of an issue with it.
