You might think that watching a high-octane action movie is pretty thrilling, but playing inside one is even better. Step into the shoes of Rico Rodriguez, the greatest action movie star who’s never actually been in a movie.

Rico has access to a smattering of slick gadgets that make Just Cause 2 the ultimate explosive sandbox. A plethora of guns plus an awesome grappling hook and a handy parachute equals a recipe for jaw-dropping stunts and heart-pumping thrills.

But the best weapon in Rico’s adrenaline-fuelled arsenal is a special DLC item called the Air Propulsion Gun. It essentially works like a supercharged hairdryer, firing a powerful burst of compressed air wherever Rico points it. Fighting a legion of troops on the edge of a cliff? One burst of pressurised air and they’ll go flying right off the edge, flailing helplessly as they spiral to their doom.

It’s a blast to use, and it’s so ludicrously powerful that it can even blow away heavy objects such as cars. It doesn’t deal much direct damage, but the mischief you can wreak with this weapon more than makes up for that minor inconvenience.

Nobody's convinced... but nobody's told him that yet. He spends his spare time working on Portal 2: Desolation, an ambitious fan-made sequel to Valve's beloved puzzle games.
