10 Outstanding Current Gen Video Games You Wrongly Overlooked

Another Xbox exclusive from a great developer makes the list. This time, it's Insomniac Games, who are currently riding high off of their recent Spider-Man title, who are the reason behind the quality of Sunset Overdrive. A clear utilization of their past work with Ratchet and Clank mixed with Saints Row, Sunset Overdrive is an insanely-entertaining open world game, where your goal is to keep moving and keep wiping out zombies.

Since movement is such a key aspect, manoeuvring through the world is exceptionally smooth and fun to do. It quickly becomes second nature, opening up the player even more to experiment with the game's large array of weaponry. Anything from Big Lebowski-themed bowling ball guns to explosive teddy bear launchers are at your disposal, allowing you to lay waste to zombie hordes with ease.

All of this works to service a thoroughly-enjoyable campaign just as over-the-top and crazy as the world it takes place in. Insomniac made an absolute winner here, and it's truly a shame that there are no plans for a sequel.

Hopefully with Spider-Man's great success, Microsoft finds it in their hearts to fund another insane adventure in the world of Sunset Overdrive.
