You have to feel sympathy for Bioshock 2. It’s not held as a classic like the first Bioshock and is often forgotten by those who enjoyed Bioshock Infinite. While it did come out to good reviews, it never did make quite the influence on pop culture the other two did.

Yet it is a really good game.

It took the wonderfully dark city of Rapture and updated it with more lore, better levels and a much better control method. With villains that felt more alive, an interesting plot and one of the best pieces of DLC made for a game, Bioshock 2 should stand with others as a modern classic.

The story of Bioshock 2 takes place 10 years after the events of the first game in 1968. You awake after being betrayed, and are on a mission to find someone they stole from you.

The twist? You’re a Big Daddy. That’s right, them creatures you feared from the first game, well you’re the Daddy now. The plot only gets more involved from there, but you will be taken through various areas of Rapture, seeing places you never did before ,while meeting a cast of character ranging from sympathetic to downright crazy.

Sure, Bioshock 1 may have the "big twist", and Infinity the symbolism, but Bioshock 2 has real heart.
