10 Overpowered Super Smash Bros Characters That Need Fixing

2. Snake

Ironically, after deriding Nintendo for adding Snake, a Sony-centric character, to the Super Smash Bros. universe, die-hard fans of the the brawler quickly realized they were painfully correct in saying Metal Gear Solid wasn't a good fit. Snake doesn't belong in SSB or any other fighter as he is. Fighting games are all bound by a delicate border between powerful and broken, but Snake isn't a color inside the lines kind of guy. Certainly, every fighter can be beaten, but in a bout between players of equal skill, besting Snake can feel like trying to roll seven on a six-sided die. With an arsenal of both delayed and contact explosives, high KO potential prepackaged with nearly all of his attacks, and disproportionate hitboxes and weight, Snake is a veritable Frankenstein of sheer power. Players have already gotten creative with his bombs and grabs; who knows how monochromatic tournament lineups could become if he returns to SSB with, far from a drop in strength, even more options?

A freelance games writer, you say? Typically battling his current RPG addiction and ceaseless perfectionism? A fan of horror but too big a sissy to play for more than a couple of hours? Spends far too much time on JRPGs and gets way too angry with card games? Well that doesn't sound anything like me.
