10 Overpowered Super Smash Bros Characters That Need Fixing

1. Meta Knight

Meta Knight's hatred for Kirby has nothing on the wrath he's incurred from the competitive SSB scene. For good reason: he's drop dead lethal. More specifically, he wields higher attack priority than any other character, meaning his moves will connect with and interrupt opponents. As IGN reports, his aerial combativeness and total edge dominance proved so peerless that he was banned from competitive play. He's also the proud owner of an invisibility exploit involving repeated use of a single move, which only worsened his reputation. Multiple tournament surveys showed that players found the game more enjoyable with Meta Knight gone. This is not the place for debate; Meta Knight is too strong, plain and simple. If all other factors are equal, Meta Knight is the stronger character by a frankly ludicrous margin. He can be beaten, but then again you can also win five-bullet Russian Roulette if you have enough lives to spare. Surely Nintendo wouldn't bring the little nightmare back for a second round, right? It's not as though he's already been confirmed to be returning to the next game, right (thanks Kotaku)? Right? Does a particular Super Smash Bros character seem broken to you? Is there one fighter you just can't seem to beat or avoid in competitive play? Let us know in the comments below!

A freelance games writer, you say? Typically battling his current RPG addiction and ceaseless perfectionism? A fan of horror but too big a sissy to play for more than a couple of hours? Spends far too much time on JRPGs and gets way too angry with card games? Well that doesn't sound anything like me.
