10 Overpowered Video Game Weapons You Can Only Use ONCE
7. FINGeR - Resident Evil 3
The weapons in Resident Evil are designed to make you struggle at all times. They either take forever to kill something or consume ammunition at the speed of a vacuum cleaner stuck on the highest setting.
That's why, when Resident Evil 3 finally introduces the FINGeR, its supercharged laser beams feel like a refreshing and empowering change of pace.
The aptly named FINGeR (or the Ferromagnetic Infantry-Use Next Generation Railgun, if you believe the acronym isn't just a reference to what you give your enemies when you use it) appears in the final encounter with Jill Valentine's relentless mutant pursuer, Nemesis.
This massive experimental railgun requires huge barrel-sized batteries to operate, which is why you can only use it once in the game. On the other hand, it's also why it's capable of instantly obliterating Resident Evil 3's toughest antagonist with one strike.
After running away from Nemesis the entire game, firing up the FINGER and doing what even grenades and a rocket launcher weren't able to accomplish is honestly the most cathartic moment in the entire game.
Now, if they ever design a hand-sized version of it, every future Resident Evil apocalypse will be over in minutes.
