From Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Golden Eye 007, and Sea Of Thieves, Rare are a prolific studio who've delivered terrific titles for decades.

Alongside such all-time classics and cult favourites, the English developer have also released plenty of games that never received the attention they deserve.

A third-person shooter released for the N64 in 1999, Jet Force Gemini's plot follows two siblings and their canine companion, all members of the eponymous team of galactic law enforcers, becoming stranded on an alien world after their ship is attacked by a villainous alien bug named Mizar. The team must fight back against the bug army and liberate the planet's peaceful natives.

Like Rare's other titles, this game is bursting with a vibrant personality that's boosted by colourful visuals. Alongside the fast-paced and highly entertaining arcade-like combat, exploration was another huge part of what made this game fantastic. With each playable character able to use specific abilities to reach new areas, there was something interesting to discover around every corner.

Now that there's an updated version of this game included in Rare Replay, players can experience one of Rare's best unknown games.
