10 Perfect Star Wars Video Game Ideas Everyone Is Ignoring

7. Starcalibur

The lightsaber duels in Star Wars are by far the coolest parts of the series €“ which is why it€™s kind of strange that there€™s never been a game solely dedicated to them. Sure, we€™ve been close €“ Yoda and Darth Vader made cameo appearances in SoulCalibur IV, for example, and there are duelling modes on some of the movie tie-in games, as well as the Kinect game. But it€™s about time to show off something that€™s all about the one-on-ones; a proper Star Wars fighting game. The game would probably be closest in mechanics to SoulCalibur (which is probably why there was a crossover in the first place) €“ lightsabers and force powers tend to lend themselves better to its weapon-based style of combat than the pure fist-fighting brawler style of a Street Fighter or Tekken. But with a whole universe of Jedi and Sith to choose from, not to mention countless duelling styles and Force abilities, it certainly seems like a winner.
