6. VR Lightsaber Duels/Podracing
Even since the Oculus Rift was first announced, the mere thought of VR gaming has had a profound impact on our collective imagination. Now that its finally coming out, as well as a few other systems which are likely to be just as impressive, some of those dreams can finally be realised and where better to start than with Star Wars? There are a couple of awesome Star Wars-based concepts that virtual reality could go down. Firstly, who doesnt love the idea of Virtual Reality lightsaber duels? Watching Darth Vader advance menacingly towards you, saber aloft, whilst wielding your own saber and having a full 360 view of the Death Star environment around you just how epic does that sound? Even if motion controls arent quite there yet, theres so much potential for VR to create an incredible experience. Second, even if you dont like the prequels, you have to admit that the podracing was pretty damn cool. VR equipment would add another element to that youd be able to truly experience the sheer speed of the vehicle and the thrill of the race in front of your eyes, and unlike the previous idea, this one doesnt necessarily require the motion controls to be amazing.
