10 Perfect Video Game Ideas EVERYONE Is Ignoring

3. Open-World Beat Cop Game

GTA Jurassic Park

Cops are a feature in most games today, be it GTA or any other kind of open-world crime game, yet what we really want is a game where we get to be the ones chasing down the bad guys.

LA Noire tried to do this, but it barely spent any time with the ins and outs of the beat cop experience, as you were swiftly moved up to detective and beyond. Being a detective is fun, but the concept of being a beat cop that has a specific set of goals in mind would help in making a more focused experience.

As you cruise around the open-world, you could engage in all sorts of activities. Speeding tickets, responding to civil distress and any number of random, bizarre incidents. Better yet, your work in the field and the info you give to detectives could affect how well they are able to do their own job.

We love games like LA Noire and Sleeping Dogs, but they eventually become bombastic Hollywood-style action experiences. The life of a beat cop may not sound exciting, but that's what would make the game feel so different and unique.

You wouldn't be busting up a huge crime syndicate as a one-man army, but rather be a small part of a much larger whole.
