10 Perfect Video Game Sequels You'll Never Get

Why Not?

Sadly, despite LucasArts having a number of highly-anticipated projects in the works when they were unceremoniously shut down (including Star Wars 1313), one that stung the most was The Force Unleashed III.

In talks to be anything from an open-world co-op game where Starkiller and Vader were working together to a completely off-kilter semi-new start called 'Yoda Unleashed' (yes, really), the project never truly got off the ground.

On top of that, Disney completely obliterated the Star Wars Expanded Universe canon back in 2014 so they could have full creative freedom over where it went in the future. As such, there is no more Starkiller, and even doing a 'Force Unleashed III' with a newcomer wouldn't make any sense, continuity or marketing-wise.

What Would Be Perfect?

Using the power of new hardware we could've had a TFU III where the very world itself could be bent, broken apart and flung at foes. Whilst the story is ostensibly a lost cause thanks to crowbarred-in clones and too many liberties taken with characters like Darth Vader, The Force Unleashed can still exist as pure escapist fantasy.

Tune down the speed at which Starkiller flung stormtroopers around, amp up the particle effects and amount of items we can use, and give us a story with a real narrative hook like the original.

Let's be clear: A newer Force Unleashed with the power of the current gen wouldn't have to try all that hard to be fantastically fun, and with the likes of Gravity Rush 2 showing how great physics-based combat can be, this would've gone down a storm.
