10 Perfect Video Games That NEVER Need To Be Remade

5. Grand Theft Auto III

With everyone and their mother starting to worry about how games were evil and made us do horrible, horrible things to people, GTA developers Rockstar united around a giant middle finger and developed a game that would cause shockwaves across the industry and beyond. Grand Theft Auto III was a landmark achievement for Rockstar; not only did it sell ridiculous amounts of copies, but it also spawned forth one of the most successful franchises in any medium ever and completely pioneered the now highly popular open-world genre. This was a game where you could do whatever you wanted. Want to drive a taxi and mow down pedestrians? Go for it! Want to stack as many cars as possible and then blow them all up with a grenade to see what happens? Why not! GTA's ridiculous, over-the-top action, unique gameplay and sense of hilarity still amuses greatly to this day (as can be seen by the ludicrous amount of copies GTA V sold last year). Although GTA IV is set in the same city as III, it was a very different game for a new generation. GTA III should remain in the history books as a wonderful experience, but simply must never be touched up and redone for whatever modern audience exists down the line.
