10 Perfect Video Games That NEVER Need To Be Remade
6. Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
Along with Metroid, this game is solely responsible for the development of 'Metroidvania'; a sub-genre of gaming that introduces RPG elements into games not considered them - giving you new tools as you progress that allow you to access previously inaccessible areas. It doesn't hurt that this great progression system was also tied into an extremely enjoyable 2D game that shaped the Castlevania games and brought it kicking and screaming into a new era. What made Castlevania stand out so much in its release was that it decided to ignore the current trend of 3D game development, instead focusing on developing a Castlevania that fans of the series could identify with, yet those new to the series could experience for the first time. Although Castlevania is nowhere near as popular as it once was, remaking this one would certainly not be a good thing. You can't improve upon 2D perfection, so let's not bother.
