10 PlayStation 5 Exclusives We Know Are In Development
1. Uncharted V
A new Uncharted game is in development at a mysterious new studio in California. Sony has yet to confirm the new title, or even the existence of the newly-formed studio, but we know for a fact they both exist.
Naughty Dog put their bow on the Uncharted series with the fourth mainline entry, A Thief's End. It was a perfect ending to one of the very best series in gaming. As such, we expected that would be the end of Uncharted for a few years, perhaps until Naughty Dog decided to dive back in. However, it appears Sony has no desire to let the popular IP sit on the shelf.
We don't know if the new title will star Nathan Drake, his daughter Cassie, or a brand new character, but it's likely to be the female Drake. The game is likely to jump forward a few years with a twenty-something Cassie, and should be a fun new experience.
This will mark the second Uncharted game to not be developed by Naughty Dog, the first being Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the PS Vita by Sony Bend (Syphon Filter, Days Gone). That's about all we know right now, but you can bet your last dollar that this will launch on the PS5, probably in 2023.
