10 PlayStation 5 Exclusives We Know Are In Development

One of the most interesting rumours going around the games industry these days is that Sony is funding development on an exclusive Demon Souls remaster.

Demon Souls was a PS3 exclusive that was developed by FromSoftware in conjunction with Sony. It was a precursor to the Dark Souls franchise but wasn't quite on that level. And it was clear Sony didn't see much value in that type of game because it let FromSoftware move on to new projects for multiple platforms.

The times, they have changed, and Sony wants to return to Demon Souls. As such, we know that Bluepoint Games, the studio behind incredible remasters like Shadow of the Colossus and The Uncharted Collection, is working on a new remaster. The studio has said this new project is their biggest undertaking yet, and rumours suggest it is a ground-up remake of Demon Souls.

While most Souls fans would prefer a straight sequel to Bloodborne - and that could very well happen at some point - a remake of a criminally underrated game from the PS3 generation could go a long way to assuaging them. Based on the scale of this project, it seems we're looking at a 2020 or 2021 release.
