10 Problems Only Gamers Will Understand

3. Playing PC Ports Without A Controller

Though PC gamers will often proclaim that the keyboard and mouse is the superior way to play a lot of games (and they'd be right), the sad truth is that more and more games are being developed with console controls in mind above all else, and as such, PC gamers often have to put up with versions ported over from consoles, where the control scheme hasn't even been altered to reflect the keyboard. With these ports, it's usually advisable to get an adapter for your Xbox controller, as it'll make life a lot easier, because playing these lazy ports with a keyboard and mouse is just hell. If you've tried to play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with a keyboard and mouse, you'll know exactly how problematic this can be: the camera angles and twitchy controls don't suit the keyboard-mouse combo at all, and the developers have made no effort whatsoever to modify the game for this type of player. If you're too cheap to buy a controller adapter (or even just a generic PC controller), you're going to have a very, very bad time.
