Developer: Ninja Theory Release: 2015 Ninja Theory is the studio behind such under-appreciated gems like Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Both of those games were disappointing commercially, so it's good to see Ninja Theory being brave enough to return to cinematic action gaming once again. Hellblade is a hack and slash title that was first announced during Sony's Gamescom media briefing earlier this year. Based around a Celtic myth, the game features protagonist Senua as she battles through a "twisted world." There hasn't been a huge amount of information given out just yet, but we're definitely getting Heavenly Sword vibes from the project. According to Ninja Theory, they want to take their three strengths as a development studio - "ninja-class combat, strong character stories, and a unique art vision" - and combine them in Hellblade.
