10 PS1 Characters That Should Be In Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

8. Nemesis (Resident Evil 3: Nemesis)

Typical, I've just said we need more charming characters in All Stars Battle Royale, and now I pull this out of the bag. Perhaps on of the most well known enemies from Capcom's seminal Resident Evil series, Nemesis was not something players wanted to meet in a dark Raccoon City alley. Knowing this tyrant was after you in a relentless pursuit up the ante and his somewhat random encounters meant players never knew when they'd be running for their lives.

The Resident Evil series has enjoyed considerable success on the Playstation and it would be nice to honour it in some way. Nemesis seems like the likeliest candidate as he has already starred in Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and it wouldn't take too much effort to port some of those moves over to Sony's newest brawler.

Or Barry. We could all use more Barry.

7. Tombi (Tombi!)

Tombi (or Tomba as it was known overseas) was a great little platform game which, along with Ape Escape is desperately crying out for a European PSN release. Created by the mind behind Ghosts N' Goblins and the producer of the Mega Man series, Tokuro Fujiwara crafted an imaginative and immensely fun game with some innovative ideas thrown into this side scrolling adventure against evil pigs. While the game was met with positive reviews across the board and even spawned a sequel, it never lived up to it's full potential and only achieved moderate sales meaning the series became something of a cult classic.

So what better way to reintroduce the character than to have him go up against the likes of Fat Princess and Sly Cooper. Tombi had a plethora of moves available to him in the original game as he progressed and gained access to new items to help him on his quest, not to mention his standard spiked ball on a chain attack. Plus All Stars Battle Royale is just crying out for a character with pink hair.
