There are a lot of bad things that can be said about quicktime events and while I’m not here to dispute any of them, I’m going to try and channel positivity today and explore the occasions that QTEs didn’t suck.

In fact, in the case of the entries in this list, not only did the infamous game mechanic not suck, they were actually pretty damn cool and improved the overall experience. Whether it’s because they made us feel like a badass, or perhaps because they let us feel involved in what would otherwise have been another cinematic cutscene to sit back and absorb passively.

In any case, here’s a handful of times we definitely didn’t hate QTEs. And as somebody who has the reaction speed of a drunk sloth, that’s saying something.
