Online multiplayers have some of the most difficult achievements to gather - because they often require your opponents to ask in specific ways that you can't exactly ask them to, and relies on you playing against both very very competent enemies, and totally useless ones.

A prime example of this comes in the Emperor achievement in Elder Scrolls Online. In order to get it, you need to gain the most alliance points in your faction while in a campaign - which basically means you kill a ton of enemies, heal a ton of allies, and generally defend your territory as best as you can while also going on the offensive whenever you can.

This achievement proved so difficult to get that many resorted to using dead campaign instances in order to get it, especially as time has gone on and the player base has comparatively dwindled.
