10 Really Stupid Decisions In Horror Video Games

4. Leaving The Dog - Blair Witch

Right, let's just get one thing straight here before we move onto The Very Good Boy:

Going alone into a forest that is surrounded by evil urban legends about a witch and has a track record of people going missing, whilst knowingly suffering from PTSD is already a particularly stupid idea.

Even more so when Ellis's real reason for forcing himself through it is because he's looking for the missing brother of a boy he accidentally shot whilst working as a police officer. He's far too close to what's going on to be able to handle it.

But leaving Bullet? Really?!

One of the few choices that is up to the player, you can chuck the one living thing that you regard as family and has acted as your lasting connection to sanity on the ground and happily run off, or hold onto him until the bitter, unconscious end.

Dropping him of course makes you a terrible person both in reality and in the game, resulting in the worse of the branching endings getting locked in the moment you lay him down. And really, so it should.
