10 Reasons Battle Royale Is Dying
6. Simplistic For Experienced Gamers
What makes so many of the world's greatest games successful is just how in-depth they are, taking gamers on a journey into something which more often than not resembles a Hollywood epic.
The late 90's and early 2000's saw classics like Metal Gear Solid introduce us to things we've never seen before, while awesome story driven games such as Bioshock and The Last of Us have brought us some of the finest hours spent holding a control pad in recent history.
Experienced gamers who love these sorts of titles simply find the whole aspect of Battle Royale as too simplistic and not worthy of their time.
These players often have a lot of sway among their respective gaming communities and friends, and if word of mouth does get round that there are far bigger ventures than simply competing to survive a game of last man standing, it could well drive Battle Royale further into the ground.
