10 Reasons Bloodborne Is Better Than Dark Souls III

5. Better Boss Design

This one is tough to admit as I actually do love the bosses in Dark Souls III, but ultimately they do not top the brilliance of Bloodborne€™s biggest encounters.

The biggest advantage that Bloodborne has here is an emphasis on variety over quantity. While Dark Souls III doesn€™t go overboard with bosses the way that Dark Souls II did, it is still a little too fond of inserting boss fights that seem to exist out of an obligation to have a boss fight. Meanwhile, bosses in Bloodborne all feel like they play a substantial role in the events that are occurring.

The variety carries over into the fights themselves as well. Many of Bloodborne€™s bosses have some unique mechanic that separates them from the pack while Dark Souls III occasionally treads too much old ground.
