10 Reasons Infinite Warfare Just Killed Call Of Duty
7. The Competition Is Killing It
That's right, of the big three FPS titles that were released in quick succession over the past month, IW has earned by far the weakest reviews from both professional critics and the respective fanbases on the whole.
Battlefield 1 came surging out of the gate with a surprisingly decent campaign and insanely addictive 64-player online suite, while Titanfall 2 was next, with its unexpectedly brilliant single-player and slick, fine-tuned multiplayer offering.
Conversely, a large portion of IW's fanbase is incredibly upset with the multiplayer in particular (the campaign has been received with broadly positive notices from most fans), and considering how thoroughly the game has been shown up by the two aforementioned titles, could this result in a significant number of fans, who perhaps can't buy all three games this year, opting to grab the next Battlefield or Titanfall instead of the next CoD?
