10 Reasons L.A. Noire Is Rockstar's Most Underrated Game

2. It's More Fun Than People Give It Credit For

One of the biggest reasons that people reacted negatively to LA Noire when it first came out was because the focus on detective work and interrogations was viewed as boring at a time where other games were letting you chainsaw alien Locusts in half.

Seven years later, the gaming world has diversified massively, with narrative-driven titles and walking simulators establishing that games don't always have to be about punching other dudes into next year or covering the screen in gore.

Consequently, players are starting to realise that Rockstar's underrated title is actually pretty fun in comparison. It retains all of the detailed story-driven mechanics of those newly-popularised genres, but still boasts the open world chaos the developer is known for, synergising the two styles perfectly.

LA Noire knows when to indulge in action and when to pull back, making for a game which on the surface could look boring, but remains constantly exciting in the thick of things.
