10 Reasons Mafia 3 Will Be Better Than GTA 6

6. An Exemplary Soundtrack

Granted, Rockstar could take GTA back to another period in history, but they're all out of decades unless they want to start encroaching on Mafia/The Godfather game's already well-worn turf. As such, both GTA IV and V had pretty weak soundtracks by comparison to Vice City and San Andreas' more grander representations of their respective time periods, simply because there were less iconic tunes to choose from.

Setting an open-world game in a decade we can all look back on in retrospect aids in presenting the best songs from its entire period, as oppose to worrying about filling out random tracks for the sake of it.

To that end, 1968 is the setting of Mafia 3, and we've already had Dusty Springfield's 'Son of a Preacher Man' in the latest trailer, alongside The Animals' 'House of the Rising Sun', Hendrix's 'All Along the Watchtower', Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Fortunate Son' and and The Rolling Stones' 'Paint it Black'.

Now that, is how to give your game an identity.
