10 Reasons Mafia 3 Will Be Better Than GTA 6
3. Characters You Already Care About
Speaking of Lincoln Clay, he's a fading Catholic, Vietnam war vet, returning to his city of New Bordeaux, only to see the mafia's influence tearing the streets apart. Dude's like freakin' Daredevil and The Punisher rolled into one, the scene where a preacher is telling him of the dangers of what he's embarking on being very reminiscent of something from the former's first season.
The Punisher comparisons are apt too, as hardly anyone ever writes such a violently-motivated character well. Writer Garth Ennis' run on The Punisher MAX comics is exemplary, as is Jon Bernthal's performance in the Daredevil TV show; Clay's delivery of the line "You are who you are. No point arguing with yourself about it" cementing his intentions for the duration.
Clay looks like a guy who's going to die trying to take down the empires built by the likes of those you encountered in the past games. Mafia 2's VitoScaletta is also back and on-side, as they're seen working together in the initial reveal trailer. Considering both characters are killers who've seen their fair share of bloodshed, you can expect a lot to be spilt when they team up.
